I understand having to cancel plans or not being fully present at work, events or other activities due to pain - I did that more times than I can count.
Before I was a MFR therapist I was a corporate interior designer for 7 years. My career was demanding but I found time to take trips, go out dancing and go on adventures with friends. In 2017, I sustained an injury to my TMJ in a car accident, and fell into chronic pain - for a long time there was no dancing, no trips and a lot of missed work. All of my relationships suffered and I felt hopeless. After almost 2 years of constant pain and trying countless modalities, I finally had surgery.
Surgery helped significantly but later on I started to experience residual pain in my neck and jaw, and it was then that I discovered MFR. My first MFR session was profound in that I felt seen and understood by my therapist on a level that no one in my healing journey so far had been able to offer. I was able to sit at my work computer and move through life with less distractions from pain and tension. Not only did MFR help me feel better physically, every time I left a session I felt happier, more alive and more myself. I found my way back to freedom and could exhale for the first time in years. MFR changed my life so much that I eventually said goodbye to the demanding life of architecture & interior design and became a MFR therapist.
Whether your pain is causing you to miss out on life occasionally or frequently, you deserve to enjoy your life and MFR can help you do that. And I’m not talking about just your weekend plans, I’m talking about making plans for your life again. Pain doesn’t have to be a life sentence.
I’m so grateful that I get to share my training, perspective and the power of MFR with people like you. Whether your pain is new or has been there for a while, I’ll listen to your story, meet you where you are, and help you achieve your individual goals in your healing journey.
